Brutal Honesty {September 2017}

August was a good month! My Moda Bake Shop quilt was published, I got to go to my first quilt retreat, and I made a lot of project progress!

These were my goals for August:

1. August Island Batik QAYG project - done!
2. August Stash Bee blocks and August RSC house blocks - done and done!
3. Finish top of September Island Batik project - done!
4. Progress on Blue in Bloom Quilts - both tops are done!

Let's check in on everything else:

1. Farmer's Wife Quilt (RSC 2016 project) -- Still at the long arm quilter.

2. Traveling Quilt Bee (2016) -- Passed this quilt to my sister so that she can add a strip to a side or two at her convenience.

3. Coast to Coast Bee -- I got my quilt back! Now to decide how much I want to add to it and how to quilt it.

4. Stash Bee Star quilt -- No progress

5. Top Spin leaders and enders -- I am up to 24 blocks of 48! I'll be continuing to work on these blocks intermittently.

6. Meadow Mystery QAL -- I bought the batting for this quilt and cut it to size -- this will be my next big FMQ project.

7. Pineapple Stash Bee Blocks -- No progress

8. Summer on the Coast Quilt -- No progress

9. Monthly Wall Hangings -- No progress

10. Sew Kitschy Blocks -- No progress

11. Romantic Garden Quilt -- I printed out 138 templates to paper piece the pieced border instead of stitch-and-flipping each one.

12. Mini Monthly Wall Hangings -- No progress

13. Happy Houses blocks -- I made three blocks for August!

14. Birthstone blocks -- No progress

15. Monthly Island Batik Ambassador projects -- My August project is done and my September project is actually done as well! September is a Blog Hop month for us Island Batik Ambassadors and my hop day is September 6th -- mark your calendars for an awesome giveaway!

16. Gathering Mystery Quilt with Cora's Quilts -- I took this quilt to Michigan to be long arm quilted.

17. Magnolia Mystery QAL -- My August cutting assignment is complete and I am patiently waiting for the September directions to come out next week.

18 and 19. Blue in Bloom quilts -- I finished both tops and will quilt them later this fall. You can see the intro post herethe post about my retreat progress here and the post with the second finished top here.

New projects:
I am working on two blog hop projects -- one for Benartex and one for the Fat Quarter Shop -- that have hop dates before the end of September. Both of those projects have been started but will be completed before the end of the month.

Here are my goals for September:
1. Make and complete my projects with September deadlines
     a. Benartex Amanda Murphy Hop project (September 22nd)
     b. Fat Quarter Shop project (September 16th)
2. Finish Stash Bee Star Quilt
3. Start October Island Batik Ambassador project

Have a wonderful long weekend, everyone!

  4. Love all the projects... Having a few in progress is cool because we can jump from one to another if we get bored. I am afraid I could not post a list such as yours - mine would be embarrassingly long!

  6. You are super organized! And, really productive. Love those blue in bloom quilts. Thanks for sharing the size info. I was wondering if it could be a queen size quilt. My guess is no due to the interlocking blocks/borders. But it is really cool.
