A little FMQ and FQs

Today I got my August Fat Quarter Friends swap package! The fabrics are so beautiful!

This weekend I also braved doing some free motion quilting on some simple placemats! I did one with loops, one with curls, one with shells, and one outlining the large flowers. I still need a LOT of work, but I am proud of starting to practice it myself!

The fabric is something I bought on the clearance at Joann and the binding is a print from the Summersault collection.

June Fat Quarter Friends Swap

I got my lovely package from Lisa for the month of June and I can't wait to use them!

May Fat Quarter Friends Swap

Yesterday I got my goodies from the May Fat Quarter Friends Swap!

And yes, that is a package of Wonder Clips! I am very excited about that.

I requested red, white, and blue this month because I am planning to make a patriotic wall hanging using the Uncle Sam pattern from Quiltmaker. It is a rather old pattern, but I happen to have an actual copy of the issue that it is featured in! Hooray!

I'm planning to use red/white and blue/white prints instead of the "natural" used in this pattern to make mine a little less country/rustic looking and a lot more POW BAM I LOVE AMERICA looking. If that's a thing.

April Fat Quarter Friends Swap Goodies

Yesterday I got my April Fat Quarter Friends Swap package from my partner!!

The leftmost fabric looks like a panel with some sassy ladies on it! I am pretty sure that I have some half yards of fabric that coordinate with the rightmost fabric. Woo hoo!

April Stash Bee Block

This month, our blocks are going to Carol of Fun Threads, who is also the head hive mama for our hive!

She also chose the same block as Kelsey from last month, except in red, green, and white.

It was (again!) a fun block to make and it will look really cool once the blocks are all together.

I also sent off my Fat Quarter Friends Swap package for the month to my partner! Hopefully she likes what I sent her! I think any new fabric is always fun, so I'm excited to get anything!
