July and August Stash Bee Blocks

If you hadn't guessed by my lack of posts, August was a blur. Between family visiting the first two weekends of the month and weddings last weekend and this weekend as well as currently being the owner of a mighty fine head cold, sleeping has won out over stitching one too many times. Once we're back next week, things should get back to normal around here.

But until then, here are my last two months' worth of Stash Bee blocks.

In July, we made feather blocks. For some reason, mine came out way too big and I had to remake them. Needless to say, I won't be making a quilt of this one myself.

In August, we made fun tic-tac-toe blocks. I had to dig around for the right color blue, but I did finally find it!

Now on to September! The weather here hasn't permitted me to take pictures of one of my finishes, and I will share that next week! :)

  1. I hope that you are either recovered completely from the cold or almost healthy again. I completely agree that August went by in a blur. Feather blocks can be so tricky; the first project I made them for the size was, off, too but it didn't matter as at least they were all the same size. o_O

  2. Great blocks! Totally get the frustration with the feathers. I've made them a couple of times and never been quilt satisfied (also, they use so much fabric if you aren't careful). Feel better soon! I've been off as well.

  3. Hoping you feel better soon and that life starts moving at a slower pace in September.

  4. Hope you are feeling better. Colds are definitely no fun. Very pretty blocks. That feather block is on my "make someday" list.
