This week, a Christmas quilt caught my eye -- maybe because I've had Christmas quilts on the brain lately!
I decided to purchase Peppermint Twist by Sharon Holland. This is another more advanced pattern but unlike some of my previous May is for Makers purchases I don't have anything in mind for this one quite yet. I definitely think this is super adorable and I'll be able to use my 60 degree ruler!
Do you like to challenge yourself with your quilting? What inspires you to learn new techniques?
I did table runners for my Dad with the twisting hexies last Christmas. I used the ones with the color on the bottom to make the long runner for the dining room table and the 'leftover' ones that have the background on the bottom to make another runner for the buffet. I used insulbright for the batting so that hot dishes could be placed on them. Dad likes functional! I loaded a couple of pictures to my flickr https://www.flickr.com/photos/114037281@N02/?
ReplyDeleteLooks like a good pattern to use with a fun set of Christmas fat quarters. Looking forward to seeing what you end up using to make it.
