Island Batik is hosting a Rafflecopter giveaway of 20 rainbow fat quarters to one lucky winner! Use the Rafflecopter widget below to enter.
I have never used Island Batiks or any batiks. Am curious as to how different they are to work with compared to quilting cotton.
ReplyDeleteMy local shop doesn't carry that line. I'll have to look at a vendor when I attend a quilt show.
ReplyDeleteI have bought some fat quarters of Island Batiks when shop hopping with friends. They are in my batik tub, currently participating in a small round robin. I hope some make it into my resulting quilt.
ReplyDeleteI'm still fairly new to the quilting world so I haven't yet. I have purchased another FQ Batik bundle (don't remember what brand) but haven't used it yet either. I love the color variations though!
ReplyDeleteI do not believe I have. I was never drawn to batiks but lately other quilters scraps are making me love them.
ReplyDeleteThanks for hosting both the hop and the giveaway. Those beautiful batiks certainly brighten up these overcast January days!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the giveaway and for hosting the bloghop
ReplyDeleteI don't use very many batiks but I'd love to give them try.
ReplyDeleteI do love to use Island Batiks in my quilts. I occasionally only use batiks in a quilt, but usually I put them in with quilting cottons...I love the way batiks play with other fabrics and I am constantly impressed with the lack of fraying in batiks. Thanks for posting the month-long schedule...I depend on the Ambassadors I follow to remind me of these hops and give me the links...daily!!!
ReplyDeleteYes I have and love them!
ReplyDeleteI love their batiks! They are definitely in my stash!
ReplyDeleteI don't think I've ever used Island Batiks. But I do often end up with other people's scraps, so it's possible that a few have snuck into my stash :)
ReplyDeleteI have used island batiks - in some pillows for my daughter and I bought some to gift to my sister! She made a quilt with them. tks!
ReplyDeleteI do use island batiks. I made a valentine wall hanging with parts of island batiks to give it some pizazz
ReplyDeleteI have not yet use batiks in my projects but I do have a couple layer cakes of them.
ReplyDeleteI haven't used these before, but they look fantastic!
ReplyDeleteI've used some in a quilt for the Scientist in Training, her rainbow puzzle pieces. That quilt has been abandoned at home in favor of Chain Reaction, her chemistry quilt.
ReplyDeleteI haven't used any Island Batiks, but they look really nice. I try to be frugal in my fabric purchases.
ReplyDeleteI have never used Island Batiks, but love the colors and depth.
