I started and am more than halfway done with my third birthstone block!
This one is supposed to be "alexandrite" for June, my birthsone! (June is also pearl, which I also love, but April's diamond is already white-ish)
I finished up the paper piecing last night and now need to sew the last four wedge halves together and then sew all of the wedges to each other. You can find the pattern from No Hats in the House.
This project just proves that Fairy Frost is one of the greatest things ever.

It looks like a very ambitious project! Great job.
ReplyDeleteI'm a June baby too. Nice work!

You are quite the jeweler! I am loving seeing all these come together ;) Just broke down and ordered some oakshotts for my own birthstone (ruby) -- I'm thinking an oversized medallion is in order for my inaugural oakshott project! ;)
ReplyDeleteWhat a fabulous project.... and a great excuse for glitter sparkle fabric.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE this - is this a quilt along or a pattern somewhere?
ReplyDeleteWow! That is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteLove it! Very pretty.
