If I had to do it all over again, I would press all of the seams open within the blocks. I believe that putting the quilt together I pressed the rows to opposite sides (one row to the right, next row to the left, etc.) and then nested seams for the individual blocks.

Hope that helps. Hoping it turns out as good in reality as it looks in my imagination! I was wondering how you handled your seam allowances on this quilt if you can remember. Press to one side or another or press open? I can't see that the pattern really addresses that.Barb Lhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04708939493417046748noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-573022001485473640.post-88074109157580513722014-03-08T01:53:39.896-05:002014-03-08T01:53:39.896-05:00Your choice and colors of fabrics are captivating....Your choice and colors of fabrics are captivating...so bright-yummy-happy!!!@lutzcatshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15104887619221872520noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-573022001485473640.post-54362376097452081622014-03-07T11:29:43.006-05:002014-03-07T11:29:43.006-05:00Beautiful finish! I think those brights might need a second chance at outside once the snow is gone, though - they scream summer (which can't come soon enough this winter ; ) How did you quilt it? Free motion or straight lines? I love machine binding - I use this method: http://wasntquiltinaday.wordpress.com/2013/10/16/quilting-101-machine-binding/Sarah @ Berry Barn Designshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16345151888451657055noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-573022001485473640.post-79761282642223967322014-03-01T19:59:44.188-05:002014-03-01T19:59:44.188-05:00It looks amazing! I think I'd really have to concentrate on those perfect ¼-inch seams and sub cutting and all, but I think I can do it. Yours is FANTASTIC! I love it. I think I'd make mine just a bit smaller because I don't think my little Janome could handle the quilting part if it was that large. Thanks so much for the inspiration!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03457689576714850231noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-573022001485473640.post-75220954965752631282014-03-01T16:23:36.676-05:002014-03-01T16:23:36.676-05:00Stunning quilt Alison!!!Stunning quilt Alison!!!Marjorie's Busy Cornerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06652147996698707692noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-573022001485473640.post-22045059910868074402014-03-01T16:02:56.206-05:002014-03-01T16:02:56.206-05:00Nice finish!Nice finish!Lorihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09252950211368558090noreply@blogger.com
