Getting the blocks together into rows with the black sashing went together very fast!
I cut my yellow cornerstones and sewed them to the sashing strips for the horizontal sashing rows. So much chain piecing!
Here's the beaut all together (of course, it was dark by this point and picture taking options were poor!) I am really loving all of the different backgrounds and shades of yellow and grey that everyone used in their blocks. Surprisingly, I only had a little bit of easing to do when I was sewing my blocks together -- which is a miracle when 11 different people made these blocks and now much I had to do on my other Stash Bee Quilt.
Right now, this quilt is approximately 70 by 85. I don't think I'll be making it any bigger!
Beautiful, love the simple colour scheme!
ReplyDeleteDid you say any "gray and yellow" to your swap buddies or specify a specific collection, Alison? The blocks all look so good together. Is there an outer border in it's future?
ReplyDeleteThis one has a lot of "wow" factor.
ReplyDeleteThis stunning! Love the yellow pops. I have added this quilt pattern to my bucket list, lol!
ReplyDeleteWay to go! My block is loving its new home!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful quilt! I love the yellows and greys together. I'm making a quilt in yellow, black and white at the moment, but I think I prefer the grey as it softens the blocks up beautifully.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for sharing

ADORABLE! I love everything...your choice of colors, the pattern, the fabric! SO cool! XO
ReplyDeleteThat's a beautiful quilt! I love a good sashing with posts, and it's really effective on this quilt. Weirdly, I enjoy sewing sashing--it's strangely satisfying to me. Is this going to be a bed quilt, or a large throw?
ReplyDeleteOh wow! How great to see all the blocks together, it was a great block to make am loving seeing the finished result.
ReplyDeleteLove it! Your Hive did such a great job on these blocks and the quilt top looks wonderful!
ReplyDeleteI sure like those fabrics together!
ReplyDeleteIt's looking great! Lots of work piecing your blocks but now it is all coming together quickly.
ReplyDeleteThat sashing really makes the quilt! Looks lovely, Alison : )
