Gone to San Diego Giveaway -- CLOSED

The giveaway is now closed!

I'm leaving Friday to go to sunny San Diego for four days! Things have been really busy in the lab lately, so I haven't done all that much sewing -- so I figured I would do a scrap bag giveaway.

My scrap bins are looking kind of stale to me and hopefully one of you will find something to work into your projects.

I picked through my random scraps (on the left) and sorted through my 2.5" squares, 5" squares, and 2.5" strips and hopefully came up with a nice random mix for someone to love!

So just comment on this post with what your next big project is and you'll be entered! Followers get a bonus entry -- comment and tell me how you follow.

I'll pick a winner when I get back home on Tuesday!

  2. Thanks for the opportunity to enter your draw!

My next big project? I'm working through my UFO's this year. My next big project will be selecting one of the stack of flimsies, and quilting it on my domestic sewing machine.

Tonight I'm hand-sewing the binding down on a wall-sized pineapple, while I watch Bonnie Hunter's quilt cam - - I'm a sucker for scraps! Here's a link to see the pineapple quilt: http://www.thethriftyquilter.blogspot.ca/2013/06/wip-wednesday.html

  3. I have several WIPs But the next thing I need to start working on are some lap-size quilts for our church. We donate them (along with prayer shawls and afghans) to those in the church going through illness or loss.

  5. Hi there! Just found your blog! I love it!

My next big project is a queen size quilt for my son. He's almost 13 and plays the trumpet. I've been collecting fabric for it for 3 years. I've picked up stuff all over the place! I'm now in the process of cutting the squares and trying to figure out how much fabric I'll still need! Yikes! :)

I'd love to follow your blog. Hopefully I'll figure out how to do it!

    Take care,
    Viki

  6. My next big project is finishing up on all my works in progress! My goal is to buy as little fabric as possible the next few months! :) But one can't really live without new fabric, right? So scraps would be cool!

  18. Right now I'm working on my FY14 Charity Sewing. I bought one of those 12 fabric boxes from The Fat Quarter Shop and I'm using it to make items for charity. Right now, it's batik dinosaurs. RAWR.

But I'm always working on my postage stamp quilt and dotee dolls, so scraps are always welcome.

  19. I love scraps <3 I think my next "big" project will be a quilt for the hubs - he loves Minnesota wild (hockey) and wants a quilt in their colors. I'm still hesitant, because I want him to love the quilt, and my fabric choices have left me iffy. SO we will see how that goes.
