Finished New York Beauty

This one is a bit of a bonus finish!

My mom had planned to come out this weekend and we were going to go to the quilt show in Lancaster, but then I got engaged and this weekend became "wedding dress shopping weekend." (We succeeded, FYI. Smiles all around.)

She brought me my quilted New York Beauty Quilt and I LOVE the clam shell pantograph on it. It really picks up on all of the arcs in the design.

And here are some binding in process pictures...

And here is the finished lovely!

Feels pretty good to get this one crossed off the WIP list!

  3. I agree, well done on the wedding dress! The NYB is gorgeous, and clamshell is one of my favourite quilting designs.

  14. OH my. What a gorgeous New York Beauty! That design is on my bucket list but I think it may get done closer to...the bucket end. :) Are you at Penn State? Grad student + chemistry + Lancaster PA makes me suspicious...I went to PSU for my MA in English, graduated (geez) '07!
